He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harden Woody and Hazel Allman Woody; his wife Doris Jean Chalfant; and his brothers, William, Don and Harold.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Sue Murphy; his children, Kathy Clark (Don), Mike (Denyse) and Alan (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Amy (Frank), Kelli (Fidel), Casey (Chris), Jonathan, Brent (Ashley), Jason (Meredith), Aaron (Jodi) and Derek (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Connor, Mason, Kinley, James, David, Evan, Mandi, Luke and Sabrina; Josh Crisp, Tim Drury and Larry Rhodes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
