He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francois and Pearl Louise LeClaire (Timmermeier); his wife Ethel "Louise" LeClaire; his siblings, Donald "Don" LeClaire and Judith "Judy" Colbert (LeClaire); and his great grandchildren, Clementine Hale and Marigold O'Donnell.

He is survived by: his brothers, William "Bill" LeClaire of Edwardsville and Leslie "Les" LeClaire of Florissant, Missouri; and his children, Doyle Hale (Cheryl) of Edwardsville, Illinois, Dezina Tumulty (James) of Omaha, Arkansas, Penny Thompson (Scott) of Brighton, Illinois and Gregory LeClaire (Lauren) of Alton, Illinois.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fosterburg Baptist Church (4737 Fosterburg Rd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Fosterburg Baptist Church.
