He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Darnstaedt and Hulda Darnstaedt (Luedeman); his sister Delphine; and his brother-in-law Victor Amschler. He is survived by: his wife Delores; his children, Rev. Mark Darnstaedt (Linda), Karla Darnstaedt and Kristyl Mangrum (Eddie); his grandchildren, Joel Beckwith, Janelle Schoeber (Steve) and Jessica Lance (Drew); his great grandchildren, Clark, Emmelyn Schoeber, Jet Beckwith and Hawk Lance; his brother Robert Darnstaedt (Liz); and also Brandon Metcalf. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (625 Church Dr, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
