She was predeceased by: her father Ronald J. Cashill; and her grandfather Earl J. Bushue. She is survived by: her mother Earleen F. Cashill (Bushue); her husband Steve Carter; her daughter Emily Carter of Alton, Illinois; her stepson Michael Carter of Springfield, Missouri; her grandparents, Martha Bushue and Ronald Carter (Jackie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her siblings, Maryann Smith of Alton, Illinois and Paul Cashill (Ann) of Malaysia; and her nieces and nephews, Matthew, Nicholas, Emily, Emma, Sarah, Jackson and Addison. She is also survived by several cousins and friends.
