She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Austin and Lucy Austin (Hopkins); her daughter Carol Appelhaus; and her brother Marvin Austin. She is survived by: her daughters, Eva Carney (Robert) of Bethalto and Cathy Stanton (David) of Bethalto; her grandchildren, Jennifer Martin (Ron), Julie Brooks (Nick), Matt Carney (Cassie) and Brett Carney (Christine); her great grandchildren, Caleb Martin (Torrie), Caitlyn, Gage Martin, Taylor Smith (Zach), Nickolas, Nolan Brooks, Cameron, Jackson, Ryan and Ellen Carney; and her son-in-law Stephen Appelhaus (Barb) of St. Louis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
