She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Kroener and Barbara Kroener (Bulan); her husband Irvin John Emert; and her siblings, Wilmer Kroener (Mary Ann) and Dorothy Hood (Kenneth).

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy R. Bivens (Steven) of Bethalto; her brother Curtis Kroener of Oakdale, IL; her grandson Michael Bivens (Shannon) of Glen Carbon; and her great grandchildren, Eloise, Aria and Connor Bivens.

Memorials are suggested to the Bethalto Presbyterian Church, The Community Hope Center, or consider performing an act of kindness for a child or someone in need.
