Peggy Jo Batson Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Peggy Jo Batson of Bethalto, Illinois. Peggy, born on August 23, 1936, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther E. Ingram and Flossie Mae Ingram (Hughes); her sons, James Heinz and Joseph Batson; and her siblings, John Ingram, Luther Ingram, Jr., Levawn Rentsch and Evelyn Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Heinz of Bethalto and Patrick J. Batson (Jeannie) of Belleville; her sister Annabel Brunton of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Luke Kistner (Christy), Brianna Batson and Madeline Batson; and her great grandchildren, Hope Kistner and Levi Kistner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (132 Butcher St, Bethalto, IL 62010).
