Ruth M. Champlin Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth M. Champlin of Bethalto, Illinois. Ruth, born on June 6, 1932, passed away on August 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Strohbeck and Beulah Strohbeck (Gentry); her sister Margie Hall; and her son Thomas Champlin. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Wenzel of Pascagoula, MS and Robert Champlin of Hartford; her grandchildren, Johnny S. Hash, Christopher L. Champlin, Taryn Perkins, Amber Steinmetz and Tyler Wenzel; and her sisters, Dorothy Kasinger of East Alton and Ann Reichert of Suwannee, GA. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in East Alton.
