We bid farewell to Sandra Jean Leeson of Bethalto, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Sandra Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry McCracken and Helen McCracken (Stolze); her husband Robert L. Lesson of Mary's Catholic Church; her nephew Sam Balaco; and her siblings-in-law, John Louis Lesson and Joan Ahlemeyer.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, John Balaco (Renee), David Balaco (Valerie), Rosemary Stahlschmidt (Chris), Robert Balaco (Debi), Michael Balaco and Kathleen Schneider.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church (519 E 4th St, Alton, IL 62002).
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Marquette Cathoic High School.
