He was predeceased by : his parents, Loren J. Smith and Mona F. Smith; his wife Vallie Smith; his sisters, Katheryn Adair and Rosie Bushong; and his sons, Alan Smith of Stan's Little League and Stanley Smith.
He is survived by : his children, Brenda J. "Smith" Jones (Keith) of Hoschton, Georgia, Lyle J. Smith (Carol) of Hedrick and Teresa M. "Smith" Echols (Kelvin) of Christmas; his siblings, Laura Marie Renwick of Albia, Margaret Patton of Biggsville and Robert Smith (Betty) of Stronghurst, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Josh Meyer, Heather D. "Smith" Fuchs (Josh), Christian M. "Smith" Walker, Max J. Echols (Reiven), Grace C. Echols and Stella R. Echols; his great grandchildren, Jordyn Walker, Ethan Meyer, Isabell Smith, Johanna Meyer, Megyn Walker, Lilly Fuchs, Piper Fuchs and Samuel Smith; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Dane Fuchs and Grace Fuchs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
