He was predeceased by: his father Roger Blackman Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Helen Hartzell; his wife Joni; his children, Nikki Giosta (Brent) and Brandon Blackman (Rachel); his grandchildren, Addie, Cameron, Cassie and Avery; his siblings, Roger Blackman (Sue), Tony Hartzell (Kelly), Tina Young (Tyler), Curt Coburn, David Coburn (Cindy) and Lisa Larkins (Bill); and his stepmother Sue Hawk. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory (1007 North G Street, Monmouth, IL 61462).
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Sugar Tree Grove Presbyterian Church or the Mark Blackman Memorial Fund, to be designated later and can be sent to the funeral home.
