It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard C. Cassady of Blackstone, Illinois, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Cassady and Marie M. Cassady (Feuerborn); his brother Dr. Raymond Cassady (Polly); and his siblings-in-law, Edward and June Liptak.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Cassady of Stephen's Church; his sons, Matthew R. Cassady of Champaign, Stephen R. Cassady (Dawn) of Champaign, Shawn R. Cassady (Anne) of Aurora and Charlie R. Cassady (Jenny) of Pontiac; his grandchildren, Lauren, Bridget, Megan, Sasha, Riley, Natalie and Jonathan Cassady; his sisters, Patricia and Rosemary Cassady of Lisle; and his sister-in-law Judith Ondercho of Paxton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home (301 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church (407 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364).
