He was predeceased by: his parents, Noma Melvin (Pearce) and James Kent Melvin; and his siblings, Sandee Pensinger (Stanley "Jeb") and James Brad Melvin. He is survived by: his brother Hal Melvin; his nephew Cal Melvin (Ashley); his niece Karla Sullivan (Matt); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cam, Addilyn, Casen Melvin, Lainey, Audrey, Molly and Nellie Sullivan.
