He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ruhrup and Helen Ruhrup (Koester); and his brother Bobby Ruhrup. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Shapiro (Brett) and Al Ruhrup, Jr. (Stacy); his grandchildren, Stephanie Follick (Adam), Michael Shapiro, Jordan Bower (Ross), Jared Ruhrup (Elizabeth) and Jessica Sheehan (Zac); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Cody, Ethan, Isabella, Dominick, Jackson, Grace and Camden; and his siblings, Pat Waller (Roger), Mary Ruhrup, Chuck Ruhrup and Ed Ruhrup (Ann).
