He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Bennington and Mary Bennington (Kemp); his wife Judith "Judy" Gangister; his granddaughter Claire; his sister Judith Weissbach (Walter); and his brother-in-law Larry Sand.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Bennington (Tiffany) of Bloomington, Audrey Corrington (David) of Bloomington, IL and April Bennington (Jon Williams) of Pittsburgh, PA; his sister Andrea Sand; and his grandchildren, Alex, Logan and Nick.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery - Minonk Thomas (420 E 6th St, Minonk, IL 61760).
