She was predeceased by: her family Jesse Jackson; her parents, James Black and H. Blandenah Black; and her brother James Black III. She is survived by: her brothers, Geoffrey Black (Terri) and Gregory Black (Rebecca); her nephews, James Williams Black and Christopher Black; her niece Sydney Black; and her friends, Rodney and Patricia Graves. She is also survived by cousins and other relatives.
