He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Carl Daugherty and Virginia Arvik Daugherty; his wife Glenna Vermilyea; his granddaughter Hayley Daugherty; and his siblings, Donald Lee Daugherty and Sandra Kay Gray.

He is survived by: his sons, Charles Daugherty, Jr. (Terri) of Bloomington and Carl Thomas Daugherty (Deanne) of Bloomington; and his grandsons, Kyle Daugherty of Bloomington and Jared Daugherty of Brooklyn.

Memorial contributions may be made to McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

“Ed was my supervisor when I was a route driver. When I became the accounting manager, Leroy, Ed and developed a great working relationship. We had our disagreements but also showed great mutual respect for each other. I have so many “Ed” stories. He loved teasing me about my “accidents” with the truck. One involved a swing set! The other was when I planned a company picnic and when no one was responding, he threatened them! I am so sorry for your loss! He was a great friend! Carol Vesel”
