He is survived by: his mother Eva Kay Thames (Rogers); his wife Lisa Jackson; his stepmother Reta Thames; his children, Simon Thames (Amy), Sara Forney (Jake), Ryan Doran, Kristin Taylor (Luke) and Brittany Harrell (Steve); his grandchildren, Reid, Dean, Olivia, Emma, Clark and Daphne; and his siblings, Carol Hany (Rick), Jeff Thames (Brenda) and Wendy Thorman (Jess).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1617 E Emerson St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
