He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwenith Kline and Charlie Kline; his brothers, Chuck, John and Bob; his grandson T. J. Merz; and his wife Norma Hackard.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Kline (Mark Behrens), Darrel Kline, II (Maggie), Nancy Mitchell (Jim) and Jane Underwood (Don); and his grandchildren, Jamie Noirfalise (Ryan), Lindy Nahn (Mike), Laurel Meke (Mari), Amy Mitchell (Garrett Phillips), Everett Behrens, Jaclyn Kline (Theresa Reedy), Whitaker Behrens, Kristi Roberts (Bo) and Sarah Lively (Hunter).
