We are sad to announce that, on March 11, 2026, at the age of 79, Dennis Fries of Bloomington, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Fries and Agnes "Kay" Fries (Kane); his son Brien Fries; his siblings, Anita Fries and Joseph Fries; and his close friend Winston.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his daughter Denise Fries-Romack (Ed Romack); his grandchildren, Michael Yeung (Erica) of New York, NY, Dr. Anne Yeung of New York, NY, Jessica Creasey of Grand Junction, CO, Dani Braun (Christopher) of Madison, WI, Dean Fries-Romack (Faith) of Bloomington, Zara Gueguen (Yann) of Chicago and Kate Holik (Damir) of Germany; his sisters, Julie Knapp (Ken) and Becky Kirkpatrick; his sister-in-law Diane Fries; and his family Dr. Bernard Yeung (Jean) of Singapore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
