He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Cronic and Maude Cronic (Shore); and his spouse Claire Coyne. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Elizabeth Custer; his nieces and nephews, Cindy Hahn, Chris Coyne (Tia), Tammy Custer, Craig Coyne (Heather) and Kimberly Brucker; and his caregivers, Tonya Meins and Jeff Heath. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to the Salvation Army or St. John's Lutheran Church of Bloomington.
