Rexroat of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Lawndale, Illinois, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Bates and Anna Bunzell Bates; her husband Robert Dean "Bob" Rexroat; and her sister Carol Todd of Dallas, GA. She is survived by: her brother R. O. Bates (Cecelia) of Del Rio, TX; and her sister-in-law Shirley Rexroat of Bloomington, IL.

The family suggests memorials be made to Home Sweet Home Mission or The Wounded Warrior Project.

“Sorry for your loss. I met Elayne at Miller Park Senior center. She made everything special. She made the biggest Angel food cake, that I have seen. It was the best. She got me involved in the. Home Sweet Home Women's Auxiliary., where she was a life time member. She also started one of the Red Hat society group, in Bloomington. She was our Queen Mother. I miss the wonderful times we had together.. Thank you Elayne May God bless your family in this time of sorrow.”
