We announce the death of Evea Darlene Higgins (Bloomington, Illinois), who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 94. Evea will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Miller and Kathryn Miller (Richards); her husband Robert Higgins; her siblings, Wayne and Imogene; her stepgranddaughter Marissa; and her stepson Barry.

She is survived by: her siblings, Samuel Ernest Miller (Evelyn) of Plainfield, IN, Charles Miller (Paulette) of Beecher City, IL, Duane Miller (Margaret) of Brewton, AL and Lois (Joe Putnam) of Franklin, IN; her stepson Brian Higgins (April); her stepgranddaughter Crystal of San Diego, CA; and her stepson Robert Higgins (Yolanda) of Hickory Hills, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the Beecher City Church of Christ.
