It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gaspare Pirrello of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Pirrello and Aurelia Pirrello; his godparents, Grace Fratali and Anthony Orlando; his uncle Frank; his aunt Millie Urso; his brother-in-law Peter Anthony Scalia; and his niece Annalisa Marie Scalia.
He is survived by: his godfather Joseph DeCillis; his siblings, Katherine Marie Scalia and Mario Joseph Pirrello (Michele); his former wife Mary Renee Pirrello; his brother-in-law Tim Baker (Edward Baker); his siblings' children, Catherine Jeanette Wettengel (Brian), Dominic Peter Pirrello, Alexander Michael Pirrello (Samantha) and Christopher Leonard Pirrello (Brittani); and his grandchildren, James Thomas, Liam Wayne, Allison Kathleen, Emma Aurelia Wettengel and Amara Scott Pirrello. He is also survived by Mother, his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calvert-Metzler Funeral Home (1115 E Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
