He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon W. Bane and Zelma Holler Bane Sr.; and his sisters, Dixie Thomas, Melody Cochran and Shirley Benison.
He is survived by: his sons, James Bane (Beth) of Beavercreek and Gordon W. "Dusty" Bane III (Bethany) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Danielle Bane, Jordan Umphrey (Josh), Sophia Bane and Riley Bane; and his sisters, Jan Barnes of Foosland, Barbara Frederick of Birmingham, Alabama, Patsy Askew (Duane) of Wausau and Carolyn Larson (Richard) of Frankfort. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and friends.
