She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bichel and Grethe Bichel; and her husband Don. She is survived by: her children, Britta Armstrong-Mitchell (Bruce Mitchell) and Grant Armstrong (Amy); her grandchildren, Brennan, Lilli, Peter and Theo; and her siblings, Tove Thomas (Steve) and Earl Bichel (Cathi). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church (1700 N Towanda Ave, Normal, IL 61761). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Grethe's memory to Calvary United Methodist Church.
