It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James D. Dickinson of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Norway, Michigan, who passed away on March 3, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dickinson and Rozella Bierstaker Dickinson. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Pietsch; his children, James "Jim" Dickinson (Sarah) of Palmdale, CA and Elizabeth "Betsy" of Appleton, WI; his grandchildren, Laura, Jennifer, Stephanie, Matthew, Carter and Davis; his sister Mary Blair (Paul); and his brother-in-law Dr. Robert Pietsch. He is also survived by co-workers, friends.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice for cancer research.

Jim was so smart and insightful. He balanced the books to the penny without forgetting.. Jim had an encyclopedic memory. I loved his stories and I loved listening to Jim. He could recall everything that had happened during his life time. Jim was a remarkable person. Thank you Jim. I'm so sorry you are gone.”
