He was predeceased by: his sisters, Margaret Joyce and Carol Schenkel. He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Keith Komnick (Linda) of Inverness, IL, Kevin Komnick of Chesterfield, MO and Kraig Komnick (Christine) of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Andrew Komnick (Nicole), Alexa McDonnell (Robert), Nolan Komnick, Natalie Komnick, Nate, Macy Rae and Elias Komnick; and his great grandchildren, James, Jack Komnick and Maren McDonnell. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran School.
