With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Legner of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Divernon, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Warrington and Marjorie Warrington (Dossett). She is survived by: her daughters, Jaclyn Walker (Todd) and Jessica Legner; her grandchildren, Nathaniel and Matilda Walker; her sister Susan Franciskovich (Phillip); her nephews, Nik (Alyssa) and Casey; her great-nephew Jack; her great-niece Juniper; and her pet Charlie.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University Colon Cancer, Galter Pavilion 675 N. St. Clair, 21st Floor Chicago, IL 60611.

“I am so sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was an outstanding educator not only to her students but also to other teachers when she became a literacy coach after she retired. I remember one day I was in her office chatting with her and she had a reading resource book laying on her desk. I looked through it and said how good it sounded. Later that day, it was on my desk with a note that she wanted me to have it. Truly a good person. My thoughts are with Jane's family.”
