She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno L. Jakaitis and Dorothy Eileen Jakaitis (Welge). She is survived by: her children, Kristin Santiago (Julio) of Aledo, Illinois, Kathryn Sims of Bloomington, Illinois, Wendy Madsen (Brian) of Clinton, Illinois and Scott Wurzburger (Julie) of Rapid City; and her sister Judith Jakaitis of Chicago, Illinois.. She is also survived by her family, raising four children.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Central Illinois Parkinson's Support Group.
