In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Monterastelli and Christina Monterastelli (Vittone); his wife Jane Sullivan; and his siblings, Ernestine Kutz, Gilda Kennedy, Erma Dulian, Arthur Monterastelli and Nello Monterastelli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
