He was predeceased by: his father Karl R. "Lonny" Lonbom. He is survived by: his mother Doris Firebaugh Lonbom of Clinton; his wife Kathleen Costello Lonbom; his son Josh of Springfield; his siblings, Karlyn Carter (Weldon) of Clinton, Alan Lonbom (Jennifer) of Del Mar, Kirk Lonbom (Christina) of Springfield and Kim Larkin (John) of Clinton; and his sisters-in-law, Maureen Garfolo (Caley Augustine) of Pittsburgh, Anne Bialek (David) of Pittsburgh and Lisa Brown (Dave) of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial (1115 E Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9000 Cromwell Dr, Clinton, IL 61727).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be directed to one of the Cubs Charity Programs of choice.
