He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Witt and Mattie Witt (Bullard); and his siblings, Glen, Wilbur, Herbert, Virginia and Leta.

He is survived by: his wife Bettye Hawkins Witt; his son Jim Witt (Edd) of Bloomington; his grandson Curtis Witt (Adam) of Peoria, IL; and his brother-in-law Jimmy L. Hawkins (Linda) of Union City, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
