He is survived by: his sister Mary Lessen; his children, Gary Phipps, Lisa Heying and Shawn Phipps (Val); his grandchildren, Josh Phipps and Rae Heying; his great grandchild Jaxon; and his friends, Paul Johnson, Gordon Carlson and Jim Sparrow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
