He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Young and Mary Margaret Young (O'Malley); and his siblings, Miriam "Mimi" Young and Michael Young. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Young (Heather) of Normal, Cheryl Drach (Robert) of Bloomington and Brenda Young of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Kayla Rose (Ryan), Andy Young, Megan Drach, Adam Dillow, Sarah Dillow and Aaron Dillow; his great grandchild Chloe Rose; his brother Stephen Young (Carol) of Bloomington; and his sister-in-law Gerry Young.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (2714 Mc Graw Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
