We announce the death of Matthew R. Shultz (Bloomington, Illinois), who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 57. He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Robert Shultz; and his stepfather Robert Wollenschlager. He is survived by: his mother Trudy Wollenschlager (Brueggeman) of Bloomington; his stepmother Kathy Shultz of Heyworth; his wife Christine Travers; his daughter Sophia M. Shultz of Philo, Illinois.; his sister Anna Wollenschlager (Steve Leggett) of Heyworth; and his stepbrother John Wollenschlager (Carol) of Shirley.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial. A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
