With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mike Flynn of Bloomington, Illinois, whose life came to an end on October 9, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Flynn and Margaret Delmar Flynn; his son Daniel Flynn; his uncle George T. Flynn; his siblings, Anne Flynn Dunn, George Flynn, Thomas Flynn, Patrick Flynn, James Flynn and Timothy Flynn; his brother-in-law Marty Hauptman; Martin and Velma Hauptman.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Flynn (Jesse), Jeff Flynn (Ana), Jennie Hoekstra (Tom) and Kevin Flynn (Maegan); his grandchildren, Parker, Riley, Dylan Flynn, Celeste Flynn, Harrison, Graham, Lily, Carter Hoekstra, Seamus and Nicola Flynn; his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Flynn and Kathleen "Curly" Flynn; and his siblings-in-law, Irene Flynn, Mary Jo Flynn and David Dunn (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (106 W Chestnut St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to Winning With Wyatt, supporting pediatric brain tumor research, or Holy Trinity Church.
