He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas W. Godwin and Willie Mae Brown Godwin; his wife Frances Geraldine Dudley; and his brother Rudy. He is survived by: his children, Michael Godwin (Chris) of St. Charles and Susan Ranney of Bloomington; and his grandchildren, Nicole Leslie, Michael Ranney and Katie Ranney. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
