He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ipsen and Doris Ipsen. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tibbs; his daughters, Cassandra Ramsey (Keith) of Katy, TX and Candis Paxton (Ryne) of Bloomington, IL; his stepchildren, Mindy Dawson (Robert) and Mark Booth (Kelley) of Bloomington, IL.; his grandchildren, Aiden Paxton, Kylie Ramsey, Gage Paxton, Jackson Ramsey, Logan Ramsey, Ashley Serban and Brandon Dawson; his great grandchildren, Hailie, Addie, Bella, Hannah and Riley; and his siblings, Steve Ipsen (Lisa) of Golden Valley, AZ, David Ipsen (Ann) of Broomfield, CO, Julie Wilson (David) of Prescott, AZ, Elizabeth Walsh (Martin) of Pekin, IL and Cathy Herrmann (Kevin) of Fremont, NH.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1617 E Emerson St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart Association or St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, IL.
