Peter McNamee Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter McNamee of Bloomington, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. McNamee and Lucille Hayden McNamee; and his siblings, Mary Lucille McNamee, Ann Marie McNamee McCarthy and Paul McNamee, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Mary of Rockford, Illinois.; his children, Jim McNamee of Portland, Kathleen McNamee of Wauwatosa, Peg Bellich (Danny) of Clarendon Hills, Erin McNamee of Grapevine, Tom McNamee of Rockford and Perry McNamee of Portland, Oregon.; his grandson Mark Bellich (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Max and Myla; his grandchild Dana Hirchak (James); his great grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Claire; and his grandchildren, Jay Bellich and Madison McNamee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Epiphany Catholic Church (1000 E College Ave, Normal, IL 61761). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association or the Association on American Indian Affairs.
