He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thomas and Fannie Marie Barnes Hill; his son Richard Thomas Hill; his sister Cheryl Hoback; and his niece April Stahly.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Gillen; his children, Preston Hill (Sara) of Bloomington, Kristen Petersen (Erik) of DeWitt and Katie Adams (Mike) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Cory, Natalie, Madeline, Peyton, Parker, Elizabeth, Mikel, Paige, Ella and Samuel; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Rayleigh and Declan; and his brothers, H. Frank Hill (Mary Rose) of Normal, John Hill (Pat) of Bloomington and Chris Isted of Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Rich's name to assist with funeral expenses.
