He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Stine and Violet K. Stine (Anderson); and his sister Nancy Rae Lehmann. He is survived by: his siblings, Linc Stine (Deborah) of Maplewood, MN and Kay Verros of Arden Hills, MN; his nieces and nephews, Konya Ives (Vanessa MacCallum), Klayton Ives (Christina Whitis), Tara Matkaiti, Kevin Matkaiti (Erin Nichols Matkaiti), Eben Stine (Anna Light) and Aaron Stine (Ashlee); his aunt JoAnn Pritchard of Normal, IL; and his cousin Jim Anderson of Bloomington, IL.. He is also survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
