He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thoennes and Norma Jean Thoennes (McMurray); his sister Susie Thoennes; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Thoennes (Jerry) and Chuck Wilkinson (Sandy).
He is survived by: his daughter Carrie Thoennes; his former wife Jean Thoennes; his siblings, Sandy Wilkinson, Jerry Thoennes, Bobby Thoennes (Donna), Jimmy Thoennes (Sue), Patty McClure, Shirley Thoennes, Carol Thoennes, Norma White and Laurie Davis; his uncle Ricky; his pet Buddy; his great-niece Caity Thoennes; and his great-uncle Ricky.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
