We bid farewell to Richard Duane Tindall of Bloomington, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 21, 2025 at the age of 73. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tindall and Mary Hardin Tindall; and his brother James Tindall. He is survived by: his wife Holly Laffey; his daughters, Rev. Susan Tindall (Liam O'Donnell) of Portland, Oregon, Kathleen Kulp (Matthew) of Downers Grove, Illinois and Kelly Tindall of Bloomington, Illinois.; his sister Marcia Tindall (Amy Furman) of Silver Springs, Maryland.; and his grandchildren, Carter Tindall, Vivienne, Madeline Kulp and Maeve O'Donnell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial (1115 E Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Second Presbyterian Church (404 N Prairie St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
The family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington; Camp Limberlost through the Bloomington Kiwanis Foundation; or the General Scholarship Fund of Princeton Theological Seminary in honor of Rick's dedication and service.
