She is survived by: her husband Al; her sons, Ryan (Kaitie) and Josh; her mother Sharon; her brother Ron (Karin); and her nephew Cameron.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at the Evergreen Cemetery (302 E Miller St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
In lieu of flowers, Sandy would ask that donations be made to Illinois Cancer Care Foundation, in honor of the fight she faced head-on for nearly thirteen years — and won in more ways than one.
