With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Urban Kerner of Bloomington, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Kerner and Magdalena Kerner (Marksteiner); his wife Rosemary Kerner (Dooley); and his siblings, Marie Stiles, Joseph Kerner, Rose Emery, Helen Brandt, Stephen Kerner, Elizabeth Dunn, Theresa Andor and Antionette Kerner.
He is survived by: his children, Urban L. Kerner, Jr. (Pat) of Hudson, WI, Beth Epley (Dale) of Normal, IL, John Kerner of Bloomington, IL, Patti Trudo (Clifford) of Murfreesboro, TN, Katie Schafer (Paul) of Springfield, IL and Matthew Kerner (Melissa) of El Paso, IL.; and his siblings, Dorothy Brandt (Hank) of Bloomington, IL. and Carl Kerner (Martha) of Bloomington, IL..
