With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera M Wheeler of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Minier, Illinois, who passed away on December 13, 2023 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vera M Wheeler to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugo Pleines and Lettie Pleines (McGinnis); her sons, Steve Wheeler and Jimmy Wheeler; her son-in-law Jesse Knackstedt; and her pet Freckles.

She is survived by : her husband Edwin Wheeler; and her children, Harold Pete Wheeler (Shirley), Michael Wheeler (Sherita), Evelyn Knackstedt, Emily Girbert, Kathy Wheeler, Danny Wheeler, Linda Busing (Mike), Julie Francis (Terry), Carol Sharp, David Wheeler, Karen Knackstedt (Richard), Rose Wheeler and Bobby Wheeler. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA.
