He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter G. Klein and Dorothy; his daughter Judy Doornbos; his grandson Josh; and his siblings, Gladys Marchbanks and Ken Klein (Pam).
He is survived by: his children, Walter Klein (Michelle), Brenda Payne, Kathy Postumus (Jim) and Dawn Wheatley (Dan); and his grandchildren, August, Wyatt, Alicia, Max, Joe, Simon, Chuck, Kari and Larry.
