Norma Jean Vortman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 5, 2026, at the age of 94, Norma Jean Vortman of Bluffs, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Brockhouse and Louise Little Brockhouse; her daughter Melinda Sue Vortman; her sister Doris Huseman (Virgil); and her siblings-in-law, Connie, Jan Brockhouse and Paul Welch (Melba).

She is survived by: her husband LeRoy J. "Hap" Vortman of Bluffs; her daughters, Melissa Barnett (Reg) of Bluffs and Annette Garrett of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Andy Hearold (Eryn Lipcaman), Lauren Hearold, Alex Barnett, Alicia Lackey and Elizabeth Lackey; her great grandchildren, Mason Barnett, Lucas, Elle, Penelope, Ilya Hearold, Lexie Heim, Jason and Jaxon Draggs; and her siblings, Joan Besaw (Dean) and Archie Brockhouse Jr. (Poune) of Jacksonville.
