He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Schelter and Dorthea Schelter (Bauman); and his stepgrandson Logan. He is survived by: his wife Pam Schelter (Krueger) of Bluford, Illinois; his stepdaughters, Laura Bell (Jason) and Vicki Buchanan (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Trison, Josie, Kayla, Alana and Brayden.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Butch's honor to American Parkinson Disease Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
